Tips for Iced Coffee via K Cups - Single cup coffee has gained massive popularity in recent years; this fancy form of brewing coffee has gone from being just another way to brew coffee to one of the premier ways. Due to this success, people have not settled for simply putting a K cup into their single cup coffee machine; no, we have moved on to creating special drinks with them.

So what are some great ways to make a nice, delicious cup of iced coffee with your coffee pods?

The first thing to do is to add the ice cubes to the cup before you even start to brew the coffee. When you are brewing your iced coffee, you want the coffee to cool off quickly and become a different drink than what you would get if you let it brew hot. Waiting to add the ice cubes until the coffee is done brewing is a classic mistake; some might say it is a rookie mistake but even some coffee veterans have been known to make this move before. The reason that it is a mistake to put the ice cubes into the coffee after the k cup coffee is done brewing is because it does not allow the coffee to cool down very well or very quickly. The timing allows you to have a creamier, cooler iced coffee.

The second thing you want to do is to choose the right single cup coffee blend. While you can technically use any flavor to put into your recipe, there are some blends that do tend to taste better as iced coffee than others. Vanilla or French vanilla blends tend to be what people prefer due to the creamier flavor that is often associated with iced coffee; however, if you do not like vanilla or French vanilla, feel free to use whatever blend you like. Another good option would be a blend with cinnamon or chocolate flavors. A bolder blend would be nice as well since the ice can dilute the flavor of the coffee.

The third thing you can do is add some cream, milk, and sugar (and other delicious things). Adding cream or milk will add some body to the coffee and a creamy tone; if the coffee is very bold in flavor, you can cut the flavor as well with the cream or milk. Adding sugar will make it sweeter as well. If you want to make it fancy, you can add syrups or a whip topping.
